In this video,
Mr. Joseph Brooks, Regional Sustainment Framework (RSF) Senior Executive Director in
the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Product Support,
provides his perspective on the RSF. RSF is a DoD initiative aimed at ensuring
U.S. and allies and partner sustainment capabilities are up to the challenges
posed by today’s rapidly changing global security environment. Simply put, RSF
is the regeneration of readiness at the point of need. The primary goals of the
RSF are to: (1) Prevail in Contested Logistics Environments; (2) Enhance
Military Readiness; and (3) Strengthen Regional Partnerships. The RSF’s
critical components are regionalization and prioritization, strategic partner
alignment, platforms and systems approach, Defense Industrial Base integration,
and identification and removal of impediments or barriers. In the video Mr.
Brooks also describes pathway projects underway
with associated timelines by respective geographic combatant command. Finally, he
describes RSF and the role of the workforce. To learn more about the RSF,
